Armenian Museum of America

The Armenian Museum of America is an independent cultural institution located in the heart of Watertown, Massachusetts. Founded in 1971, it is the largest Armenian museum in the diaspora, housing a vast collection of over 25,000 artifacts and 30,000 research library books that span 3,000 years of history. Its purpose is to locate, collect, preserve, and showcase the rich heritage, art, and contributions of the Armenian people. Serving as a living museum, it features extensive exhibits—including ancient Urartian artifacts, medieval manuscripts, inscribed rugs, and a poignant Armenian Genocide collection—alongside contemporary gallery openings and public literary programs.
