Holy Cross Armenian Catholic Church

The Holy Cross Armenian Catholic Church is an active, historic parish located at 200 Lexington Street in Belmont, Massachusetts. Originally founded in 1940 by Father Sahag Kogian, it holds a significant place in the region’s diaspora history, having moved from a home chapel in Watertown to a dedicated church in Harvard Square consecrated in 1956, before finally relocating to its current Belmont campus and parish center. Operating under the Armenian Catholic Eparchy of Our Lady of Nareg, its central purpose is to provide a vibrant spiritual home that preserves the unique Liturgy and Eastern heritage of the Armenian Catholic Rite. Through weekly Holy Mass, language education, and cultural milestones—such as its 86th Anniversary Celebration at the Atinizian Hall—the parish fosters deep-rooted community connection across generations.
