Saint Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church

The Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church is a historic parish of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America located in Providence, Rhode Island. Consecrated in 1914 after the local congregation purchased a former Baptist church building, its purpose is to witness the ancient Apostolic faith and serve the spiritual and cultural needs of Rhode Island’s Armenian community. Named after the 5th-century saints who created the Armenian alphabet, the parish preserves traditional Orthodox Divine Liturgy, runs a vibrant cultural center, and hosts long-standing heritage traditions like its joyful annual Vartavar summer festival.
